Expert: Russians spend more on Web, less on mobile services Jan–Aug
MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Russians’ average spending on home Internet rose 2% on the year in January–August, while expenses on mobile connection eased 1%, according to a research conducted by Russian Standard Bank and seen by PRIME on Wednesday.
“The average check of payment for services of Internet providers grew 2% to 662 rubles in January–August. It stood at 651 rubles a year earlier,” the research read.
The average payment for mobile connection decreased to 661 rubles from 667 rubles a year earlier, which the experts explained by the fact that Russians travelled abroad less in 2022, preferring internal tourism, and roaming costs fell.
